Metsec or SFS (Steel Framing System) can come in various depths for example 100mm, 150mm and 200mm. This is a heavy gauge steel structure and is becoming increasingly popular within the Construction industry.
This system is normally erected to the external of building, and usually fixed to cladding to form the external structure. Metsec has similar characteristics to standard partitions as insulation is normally inserted between studs and a specified board fixed to the internal of the wall to achieve the ratings required.
This is then finished with taping/jointing or skim to provide a smooth finish, ready for painting.
